To study such phenomena, cognitive psychology applies mathematical models to analyze data, experimental research models to observe behaviors, and statistics. Cognitive psychology, hence, is the study of how people perceive, learn, remember, and think about information (Stenberg & Stenberg, 2012). Following this perspective, authors of the cognitive tradition study the main psychological processes which are: perception, attention, memory, reasoning and language. From the beginning of cognitive Cognitive psychology, therefore, is the study of human behavior focused on nonobservable, mental aspects. They’re aspects somewhere between the stimulus and the observable response. Cognitive psychology measures behaviour to infer mechanisms of cognition, and contains a vast literature detailing such mechanisms, along with experiments for verifying them.
